Exoskeleton
A wearable robotic frame that supports or amplifies a person's movements.
An exoskeleton is worn on the body. Industrial ones reduce strain for people who lift or hold tools overhead, medical ones help patients to walk again, and some are used as master devices to teleoperate humanoid robots and record training data.
It sits at the border of robotics and wearable equipment, so the questions are different from those for a standalone robot: fit for different body sizes, weight on the wearer, battery life per shift, and the medical or safety certification for the intended use.
