Palletizing
Automatically stacking boxes or bags onto a pallet in a stable pattern.
Palletizing is heavy, repetitive and bad for backs, which is why it is one of the most common first projects for arms and cobots. The robot picks each box from a conveyor and places it following a pattern that keeps the stack stable.
Key numbers are boxes per minute, the maximum pallet height and the payload including the gripper. A cobot palletizer is slower but needs no fence. If your product mix changes daily, check how quickly a new pattern can be set up, ideally without a programmer.
